Afghanistan has a time-honored history and splendid civilization. Since ancient times, Afghanistan has served as a bridge for regional connectivity. As friendly neighbors linked by mountains and rivers, China-Afghanistan friendship took root in the ancient Silk Road and has grown for millennia.

In recent years, political mutual trust between China and Afghanistan has been continuously improved. Exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as economy, trade, security and culture have been carried out across the board. The development of the Belt and Road Initiative through joint efforts has made headway. The traditional friendship and exchanges between the two peoples have been further deepened in the new historical era.

"Amity and good neighborliness are invaluable to a country." Guided by China’s neighborhood diplomacy featuring amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness put forth by President Xi Jinping, the Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan adheres to the policy of "Three Respects" (China respects the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Afghanistan, respects the independent choices made by the Afghan people, and respects the religious beliefs and national customs of Afghanistan) and "Three Nevers" (China never interferes in Afghanistan's internal affairs, never seeks selfish interests in Afghanistan, and never pursues so-called sphere of influence) toward Afghanistan. The Chinese Embassy is committed to deepening practical cooperation in various fields under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, and promoting the sustained, healthy and steady development of China-Afghanistan relations. We will continue to deepen the traditional friendship between our two peoples, and share more fruits of China's development with Afghanistan. 

It is my belief that with our joint efforts, the towering tree of China-Afghanistan community with a shared future that features peace, development, openness, inclusiveness and solidarity will surely grow taller and stronger in the future!
