To further facilitate applications for Chinese visas, from now until December 31, 2026, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Kabul exempts all applicants applying for short-stay visas with a stay period of 180 days or less from fingerprint collection.

Applicants for categories D, J1, Q1, S1, X1 and Z visas, who are required to apply for residence permits after entry into China, will still be subject to fingerprinting in accordance with relevant regulations.
