Ambassador Zhao Xing Meets with the Acting Minister of Economy of Afghanistan Hanif

On July 13, Ambassador Zhao Xing met with H.E.Qari Din Muhammad Hanif, Acting Minister of Economy of the Afghanistan, and exchanged views on strengthening practical cooperation in bilateral economic and trade fields.

Ambassador Zhao introduced that the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee will be held in Beijing and said that the current China-Afghanistan bilateral relations are further developing, practical cooperation is constantly advancing, and economic and trade and personnel exchanges are becoming more frequent. China will continue to support Afghanistan’s post-war reconstruction and economic development, actively carry out humanitarian assistance and help Afghanistan improve its governance capacity.

Minister Hanif highly commended the great achievement of China's reform and opening up in the new era, and look forward to China’s further comprehensively deepening reforms and advancing Chinese modernization, which may provides new opportunities for win-win cooperation between China and Afghanistan. Minister Hanif thanked the Chinese government for its long-term strong support and selfless assistance to Afghanistan, and expressed the desire to learn more from China's governance experience. He also called on more Chinese companies to invest and start businesses in Afghanistan.
