On December 9, Ambassador Zhao Xing met with Acting Minister of Public Health of Afghanistan Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali.

Ambassador  Zhao stated that China and Afghanistan are friendly neighbors. Next  year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic  relations between the two countries. China is willing to continue  strengthening cooperation with Afghanistan in the field of healthcare  and provide more support within its capacity to help build Afghanistan's  public health system and promote its social development.

Minister  Jalali briefed his recent visit to China at the invitation of the  Chinese side and his participation in the 2024 World Conference on  Traditional Medicine. He expressed gratitude for China's longstanding  support for Afghanistan's economic and social reconstruction and his  willingness to continue enhancing exchanges and cooperation with China  in areas such as traditional medicine to better benefit the peoples of  both countries.
