Embassy of China in Afghanistan holds the Reception to celebrate the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army

On July 28, the Embassy of China in Afghanistan held a reception to celebrate the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Ambassador Zhao Xing and Defense Attaché Fei Xiaojun attended the reception and delivered speeches. Nearly one hundred guests, including representatives from Afghanistan's Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, the defense attaché corps in Kabul, the Chinese community, and Chinese enterprises, participated in the event.

Ambassador Zhao highlighted the great significance of the Chinese People’s victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and emphasized that the return of Taiwan to China is an integral part of the outcomes of World War II and the post-war international order. He reaffirmed China’s readiness to deepen cooperation with Afghanistan and support the country’s post-war reconstruction and regional stability and development.

Defense Attaché Fei reviewed the PLA’s glorious 98-year history and expressed China’s willingness to strengthen military exchanges and cooperation with armed forces of all countries to jointly safeguard world peace and security.

During the reception, the video The Guardians was screened, and a themed photo exhibition was held. Guests highly praised the role of the Chinese military in maintaining world peace and lauded China’s outstanding contributions to the victory in the anti-fascist war.
