The Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan holds the reception in celebration of the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China

On October 8, the Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan held the reception to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. More than 100 attendees were present, including Chinese Ambassador Zhao Xing, Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Naeem and other government officials, diplomats and representatives of international organizations in Afghanistan, as well as representatives from Chinese enterprises and overseas Chinese.

Ambassador Zhao Xing highlighted the great achievements China has made over the past 76 years since its founding, introduced the Global Governance Initiative, reviewed the outcomes of China-Afghanistan cooperation over the past four years, and reaffirmed China’s commitment to the path of peaceful development and to building a community with a shared future for humanity alongside countries around the world, including Afghanistan.

Deputy Foreign Minister Naeem, speaking on behalf of the Afghan government, extended congratulations on the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. He expressed gratitude for China’s long-standing support and assistance to Afghanistan and reiterated Afghanistan’s firm adherence to the one-China principle. He also expressed Afghanistan’s willingness to actively participate in the Belt and Road Initiative and to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China in various fields.

The reception was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with guests speaking highly of China’s development achievements and expressing their hope for even greater progress in China-Afghanistan relations.
