Ambassador Zhao Xing recently made farewell calls on Afghan senior government officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi and Minister of Interior Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani.

Ambassador Zhao Xing took stock of the positive developments in China-Afghanistan relations over the past three years. He stated that, sharing time-honored friendship with Afghanistan, China stands ready to work with Afghanistan to carry forward the traditional amity, enhance political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation, and make greater contribution to regional peace, stability and development.

The Afghan side highly commended the friendly relations between Afghanistan and China as well as Ambassador Zhao Xing's efforts in advancing bilateral relations. They expressed gratitude for China's valuable support to Afghanistan's development and readiness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China so as to further secure the betterment of bilateral relations.
